CHRISTMAS CARD CLASS NOV. 4, 2012 USING COPIC MAKERS

Well it's the end of Oct. and everyone is turning their thoughts to the holidays and making Christmas Cards. This is one of my most popular classes of the year. I won't do another class until the end of Jan. so everyone is wanting to have some fun before the Thanksgiving and Christmas celebrations take over their lives. We will have our annual Christmas party and enjoy refreshments with our stamping friends. If you would like to join this class please visit my website https://astampineveryhand.com/ We will be working with Copic Markers on two of the cards. First the village card so everyone can get and idea of how the makers work and coloring in small areas.
This stamp set is by Darcie's and features a variety of buildings, little people and words. Next will be a Santa card and the stamp is made by Art Gone Wild! This will be a chance to learn how to color and shade using Copic markers.
Then for fun we will do a folded star Christmas card. Folded cards were so big at the Stampaway USA Convention this past summer in Cincinnati so I decided to add this card to my Christmas class.
Take some time to make your own Christmas cards it's so much fun!

BACK FROM STAMPAWAY USA 2012

Well I have returned from Cincinnati and the Stampaway USA convention as well as teaching my stampscapes classes in Centerville, Ohio at Marco's Paper. I had a wonderful time teaching and learning. Best convention yet! It was a pleasure to teach and work with the folks at Marco's and I hope to return in the spring of 2013. As for my classes they were all great except one. I will just say the teachers had no respect for the people they were teaching! I took Tim Holtz class and made a beautiful journal using techniques I already knew and watched him sign autographs. I did not get his autograph, but I can now say I have taken his class! Northwoods Men's card class was great as always. Pat is a very good teacher! Stamp the Night Away was a lot of fun. Folded card class was great. Last but not least Embellishing solid stamps was really good. Watercolor class was very bad and I will leave it at that!!! If you have never been to Stampaway I would like to encourage you to attend. This was my 15th Stampaway convention and God willing I will go back next year. I am including some pictures I took at Marco's Paper and at the convention and I hope you enjoy them.

STAMPAWAY TRADING CARD

I have finally finished my trading card design.  I know I am really cutting this short.  I will be leaving for Ohio in about a week.  I hope to blog, tweet and facebook my trip.  If you want to follow me on facebook it's Janet Winkle or A Stamp In Every Hand.  Twitter is @Rubberstampdiva.  If you see me at the show please have your picture taken with me you could win a DVD or a class with me.  Check out the contest rules at my website https://astampineveryhand.com/

In my design I used a rubber stamp which is the image of the Cincinnati riverfront.  The man with the umbrella is a Tim Holtz Sizzix Die.  The hand and words are different clear stamps I have used to express my feelings about stampaway.  The 2 X's are for the 20th Anniversary of Stampaway.  This is my 15th straight Stampaway convention.

Don't forget that I will be teaching at Marco's Paper in Centerville as of today there are  2 seats left in my morning class and 7 seats in the afternoon class.  If you are in the area please come and join my class on July 31st.  Contact Karen at Marco's  1-937-433-7030 or visit there website at http://www.marcopaper.com/.
